How does Mesotherapy Work?
The mesoderm is the skin’s middle layer and supports connective tissue, muscle,
fat, as well as your circulatory system. This medical specialty targets problem
areas with microinjections of homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals and
amino acids. Tiny "medicinal bullets" are delivered directly into the mesoderm
that are highly specific to the condition being treated. The purpose of
injecting small amounts of nutrients and vitamins into the skin is to bring
about healing properties to the treated areas.
People from all age groups can benefit from this procedure.
How many treatments are needed?
Mesotherapy typically involves 3 to 10 treatments depending on the part of the
body being treated and the severity of the condition.
How fast are the results?
Many patients receive positive compliments from friends and family on how great
they look after the second or third treatment. For certain conditions however,
results may be seen immediately.
Mesotherapy for body sculpting is more about losing inches than losing
large amounts of weight. A proper diet consisting of unprocessed, unrefined
foods and moderate exercise can help shed these inches faster, especially in
conjunction with a detoxification program.
Will the results last?
The results do last. Mesotherapy is a powerful tool for addressing
fat, cellulite, and ageing. Occasional touch-ups may be required. Ageing is a
dynamic process and as your body continues to age, you may need to address the
symptoms as they occur.
Mesotherapy can also be used as a preventive treatment.
Are the treatments painful?
A slight pinching or burning sensation may be felt depending on the sensitivity
level of the patient. Patients describe the procedure as either painless or
slightly irritating with some spots being more tender than others. A topical
anaesthetic gel can be used upon request.
Are there possible side effects?
As Mesotherapy is an invasive technique involving needles and injections, side
effects may occur:
How much will it cost?
