Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture Contraindications

Patients who bruise or bleed easily (hemophiliacs, etc.)

Patients on certain medications who could bleed easier (aspirin, Coumadin,
warfarin, flavex, ginkgo, vitamin E, vitamin B3 (niacin), etc.)

Patients with high blood pressure (unless it is under control)

Patients with severe migraines (must be clear for 3-6 months prior to treatment)

Patients who have had cosmetic surgery in the last 6 months

Patients who have had laser resurfacing in the last 3 weeks

Patients with a cold or flu

Patients with an acute herpes outbreak or acute allergic reactions

Pregnancy
